JESSIE KNADLER
Owner & Instructor

After years of pounding pavement as a distance runner and contorting through Ashtanga yoga, Jessie discovered something radical: you can get strong, flexible, and balanced without destroying your joints in the process. Enter Pilates — the one method that felt like it was actually working with her body, not against it. Since committing to it, she’s stayed injury-free (and yes, she knocks on wood every time she says that).
Jessie is a Corrective Exercise Specialist certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. This means she is able to study a body and tell which muscles are overworked and tight and which muscles are under-recruited and weak and design an exercise program aimed at bringing the body into better balance. She received her Pilates teaching certification through STOTT, known for its physical therapy-informed approach, and has been teaching intelligent, effective movement—mat and apparatus Pilates—for eighteen years.
She works with a wide range of humans—from desk jockeys to new moms to retirees to athletes with labral tears, and other “my-body-feels-off” scenarios. In private sessions, she digs deep: analyzing movement patterns to build smarter, stronger ones. In group class? Clients sweat, shake, maybe swear, but definitely leave feeling better than when they walked in.
She’s also the author of Rurally Screwed, Tart and Sweet, and The Frequency. When she’s not cueing neutral or creating content (sign up for her newsletter!), she's mom to two excellent daughters, June and Katie.
