JESSIE KNADLER
Owner & Instructor
Jessie is a Corrective Exercise Specialist certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is trained to identify movement imbalances and determine which muscles are overworked, underactive, or not firing as efficiently as they should. She then designs individualized exercise programs to restore better balance, improve movement quality, and reduce the risk of injury.
She received her Pilates teaching certification through STOTT, known for its physical therapy-informed approach, and has been teaching intelligent, effective movement—mat and apparatus Pilates—for eighteen years.
In addition to leading Speakeasy Pilates, Jessie provides Pilates training to professional baseball players in the Cleveland Guardians organization based in Lynchburg, VA. Her work focuses on helping athletes improve movement quality, core control, mobility and stability so they can perform at the highest level.
Whether she’s working with elite athletes or first-time clients, her philosophy is the same: help people move with greater strength, efficiency, and confidence so they can perform better, feel better, and stay active for years to come.
In private sessions, Jessie analyzes movement patterns to build smarter, stronger ones. In group classes, clients sweat, shake, maybe swear, but they almost always leave feeling better than when they walked in.
She’s also the author of Rurally Screwed, Tart and Sweet, and The Frequency. When she’s not improving bodies or writing about movement (sign up for her newsletter!), she's mom to two excellent daughters, June and Katie.
